Queenstown Day 2 (Friday, June 7)

Adrienne's brother hooked us up with a discounted Milford Sound (it's actually a fjord) tour which consisted of a four hour charter bus ride to Milford Sound and back with a two-hour boat cruise in the early afternoon. The weather was relatively warm and beautiful so we were above deck the entire time that we weren't exploiting the free coffee and tea in the cabin.

We had to get up just before six for the 12-13 hour trip but I thought it was well worth it. We heard much about the Otago region's history during our bus ride and the views at Milford Sound were unbelievable.

These mountains were used in some shots of the Misty Mountains

A 12 degree overhang. The same valley. Thomas being a true mountain.
