This blog has been created by Eoin Sansevero and Davis Grimm. The relationship between the University of Michigan Rugby Football Club and Poneke Football Club built a few years ago, and since then the team has been sending down 2 players to New Zealand during the summer months fairly regularly. This relationship has been fostered by the club and has been greatly assisted by Kevin Jenkins and his family on the New Zealand side. This year we were lucky enough to be hosted by Nicky Hunn, who graciously accepted us into her home. During our time in New Zealand, we will be playing rugby for Poneke(one of the most prestigious and highly regarded clubs in Wellington), making new friends and experiencing life as a Kiwi, and traveling around the country seeking the beautiful sights and thrills the nation has to offer. We will be making weekly updates and will hopefully build to one blog every three days. Follow along with our adventure here!
